Spring is around the corner. Time to inspect the gutters, sidewalks, shingles, plants, and flower beds. Here are a few helpful tips on maintance for spring.

TIPS:

Gutters: Make sure downspouts drain away from the foundation. Check for leaks. Improper drainage can lead to water damage to basement, or even the crawl space.

Chimney: Examine the exterior for any damage. Make sure you have it inspected and cleaned.

Faucets: Outside faucets can have freeze damage. Check the garden hose also for any on going leaks, or damage.

Concrete: When weather permits, power-wash and seal the concrete if there are any new cracks that have developed. Fill with the proper concrete filler.

Soil: Add new fresh soil to low area bed in the yard or next to the foundation. Spring rain can cause yard flooding, which can cause damage to your homes foundation.
