Floods - TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN!

 

Flooding is a temporary overflow of water onto land that is normally dry. Floods are the most common natural disaster in the United States. Flash floods can come with no warning. 

 

Safety tips: 

Do not walk, swim, or drive through flood waters.

Stay off bridges over fast-moving water.

 

Protection is the best, evacuate if told to do so, move to higher ground, and/or depending on your loaction stay where you are.

HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS

 

Hurricane season is around the corner. Have an emergency plan with your family and friends before a hurricane. It's always a good idea to have a small emergency supply pack ready at home, work, and even your car. Check evaluation route(s). Set phone alerts. Being prepared, helps any elevated situation become less stressful, expecially when it involves weather related issues.

Some supplies needed: Batteries, battery operated radio, flashlights, water, food, etc.

The best time to water plants...
